Simon is an associate lawyer at Barrett Tax Law. Simon joined Barrett Tax Law in 2020 as an articling student. Simon’s practice focuses on representing individuals and corporations in audits, objections, and before the Tax Court of Canada. Simon also represents clients in civil litigation matters, and advises on corporate tax issues. 

 

Simon completed his Juris Doctor in the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University. While there, he earned awards for high academic standing including the Queen’s Law Prize in Taxation. Simon also worked for Professors in the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University as a Research Assistant, and focused on the fields of legal technology and taxation. Simon completed his undergraduate degree at York University, and graduated with a Bachelors in Political Science.

 

In his spare time, Simon enjoys spending time trying out new restaurants in the GTA, reading, and staying active.
